Almost 7 months ago I decided to start coaching for Team Beachbody. Its one of the best decision I've ever made and its been an amazing journey. I love helping others and love fitness/eating healthy and all I can say is this experience has been very fulfilling! This week I will be hosting a 3 Day Sneak Peek into coaching - I will share all the ''ins'' and ''outs'' and answer any questions you may have.
I wanted to talk a bit about some misconception people may have about coaching. I know I had lots of questions and was skeptical myself at the idea at the beginning but after doing my research I am so happy and wish I would have known about coaching a few years ago. Here are a few misconceptions I wanted to go over with you:
1. I still have weight to loose.
When I started coaching I still had weight to loose and that is ok!! People love seeing you being on your journey to weight lost and they want to join you. People love to see and follow others going through their journeys to weight lost as well and the same struggles they may have. When I joined as a coach I had only done 1 round of the 21 Day Fix Progam. Everyone who has a heart and want to help others can be a coach:)
2. I don't have time for a Coaching business.
The great thing about this business is that you put in your own hours. I have 3 little ones at home and presently working full-time at another job. When you join as a coach on my team, I make sure to go through with you your goals and how much time you can spend in your business. I will support you and help you at your pace. Many top coaches have created a six figure income working part time hours, you just need to be consistent. Like I said this is your business and you make of it what you want!
3. Beachbody Coacing is just another Pyramid Scheme! (I get this one a lot)
If someone ask you that question - I would ask them what is a pyramid scheme? A pyramid scheme is an illegal business model that requires people to pay money to join you but there is no actual product being exchange. Beachbody does have products, its a marketing company which is a business model that has been around for many decades. For more information, here is Beachbody CEO Carl Daikeler explaining this in details:
4. I am not a sales person & don't want to push products to people
This was one of my first comment/questions! I am not a good sales person, I don't like to sell anything! As a coach all you need to do is share your story, share your journey and the one of others who had success with Beachbody products. People reach out to me and I invite them to try the product as well. There is no difference than recommending a product you love (like make-up, hair product...). You will earn a 25% commission when anyone you share with decides to purchase.
5. I am not a fitness expert or nutritionist.
You don't need to be a health and fitness expert to become a coach. All you need it the desire and heart to help others become better version of themselves. I'm not a fitness expert but as a coach, I will be there for you through your journey and in keeping you accountable, motivate you and give you tips and tools on how to succeed.
6. I don't like to work out at home, I prefer to go to a gym.
Ok so I come across this every now and then. To be honest, I know quite a few Beachbody coaches who do in fact go to the gym. What they do is use Beachbody fitness programs as a supplemental at-home program. Believe it or not, coaching is not all about exercising. It's about living a healthy life which includes eating healthy too! You don't get that at a gym. So, you don't have to give up your gym fetish to be a coach. You can still use the products, be a product of the product, eat healthy, AND go to the gym!
I hope this information helps you understand a little bit more what Beachbody Coaching is all about. If you have any other questions please send them over. If you would like to join my 3 Day Sneak Peek into coaching to get more information, please send me a Facebook message or by email.
